CERM 231: Beginning Ceramics for Art Majors, [Fall 2008, Fall 2007]
· Sole responsibility for teaching and evaluating wheel thrown, hand built and sculpting assignments that were geared towards helping students gain essential art-making skills. Such skills aided students in problem solving and working out ideas for their assignments based on concept, context, historical reference and function.
· Introduced basic clay and glaze formulation and kiln loading and firing methods.

· Sole responsibility for instruction and evaluation of basic hand building, sculpting and wheel throwing assignments that were structured to cultivate student appreciation for the functional, historical and aesthetic values of ceramic art.

· Maintained Soda, Salt, Wood, and Reduction kilns: replaced and repaired burners and pilots; replaced thermocouples, dampers, baso/safety valves and gages and performed any necessary plumbing or welding.
